It was coffee and karate day with Jay. We met with Sensei Manfred and talked kata. I have been working on some particular moves lately and wanted to run them by him to make sure I was on the right track. Bingo. Right on the point. Always good when the new ideas are good ideas…..more later..

Sue and I got after the grape vines yesterday. It was a beautiful day to be outside, even got down to a T-shirt for a bit. We trimmed branches filling one and a half green bins. Then we laid out the plastic screening over the top (racoon prevention).
We took dinner over to the Blooms. They were quite surprised as they had made dinner. We all had a good laugh but they are all set for tonight….more later..

I was able to get a little done on the tree again. It has been some time. I needed to glue some of the bottom parts in order to finish the shaping. The edge gets routed to give it a roundness. The project moves on…..more later..

Max is back in Montana. Eric dropped him off at the airport and ten minutes later he texted to say he was already through TSA. Wow, I guess the quick check in really makes a difference. …more later..

This weekend was spent at an Aikido seminar. It was perfect timing. After making Ikkyu last week I was curious to what the next step would be. Kimberly Sensei, from Washington State, presented information that absolutely struck me. It was like the seminar was designed around what I am ready learn. I was a sponge all weekend, soaking in the information that was being offered. Now, let's see if I can do it.
We had a great surprise visit from Max, Karissa, and Michelle in the evening. Max is headed back to Montana so it was fun to get one last hug…..more later..

I went to the dermatologist yesterday and had surgery on my arm. He removed some cancer, stitched it up, and sent me on my way. All is good. Now I have to sit it out for a couple of weeks at Aikido. Oh well……more later..

I had my annual physical yesterday. I got the works including a good ear wax cleaning. It took two and a half hours and I came out with a good bill of health. Good for another year.
WE dropped dinner off at R&B's. They are real busy with work so just a quick drop off and go. I did get a chance to see Ryans Lego/Formula 1 car project. It has lots of detail. Pretty neat. We missed Beth, next time, love ya…..more later..
