The Blooms gave Sue a container with a bunch of little lady bugs for the garden. Sue has been releasing them in the yard every other day in small groups. Last night was the last group to be released. They disappear but we have a little house with a bright red roof to remind us they are out there. So cute….more later..

Last time out in the van we lost the power to one of the circuits. It wasn't a complete disaster since it was simply the outlets along one side of the van. I finally got to trouble shooting it yesterday. After some testing I narrowed it down to a faulty circuit breaker. I was in luck, I had another in my box of goodies. It was a little difficult extracting the breaker but after loosening the screws holding the bus bar I was able to wiggle it out and put in the new one. Voila, all was working once again. Nice to get that done…more later..

Just a regular day. I am struggling with the auto turnout controllers on the MR&TRR. I spent the day crawling under the layout, getting up on top and back again, and again. It was all for not. I wasn't able to get it going. So what does one do at that point, turn to You Tube. Sure enough, there was an idea that I will try next, a heavier wire that throws the forks. Keep those fingers crossed…..more later..

We had a great celebration of our 75th. The family gathered at R&B where it was decorated with 75 photos from the past and lots of balloons. The balloons had confetti inside and every so often one would burst. The loud bang woke everyone up as confetti flew all around. A great meal was finished up with Hula pie, handmade by Beth,Yum. Then we were crowned with the real deal. It was a great way to spend a great day with a great family. A big thanks to all…..more later..

Jay's sister is in town from Virginia. Kathy and Jay came over to our place for a morning of chit chat. Jay and I still got in some karate discussion while Sue and Kathy enjoyed the great weather on the patio. We all enjoyed the morning gathering….more later..

One more shot at cleaning out the drain that runs from the backyard to the street. It plugs up with roots every couple of years. After gym we headed over to HD and rented a roto rooter machine once again and gave it a go. I got some root balls out so I was pretty happy with that. We tried putting a smaller pipe inside the bigger one but that didn't go so well. I think we have drainage though. We shall see this winter.
Dinner for the Blooms. Max was at work so we were able to chat with the rest of the family. They went on a campout. Scout wore himself out. He was pretty subdued, laying at the other end of the room. Ha, I relate…..more later..
