I was able to get the old header out (too short) and get the new header in. It was a struggle as well as a tight fit but after a hundred trips going from inside the bathroom to outside I was able to come out on top. Whew…..more later..

I did some work on how I will tackle the framing of the circle. It is a challenge as I need to replace the header and cut out the circular shape. I have come up with the location of how it will be placed. The cutting should come soon…..more later..

Whew, another killer day of work. Sue and I loaded R&B's truck with driveway pavers to go back to the yard. Six loads, back and forth. Lots of heavy stuff, but we managed to get it all done. Next?.......more later..

Saturday was busy. As soon as I got home from Aikido, Ryan and I made a couple of trips to the free dump day. We got rid of all the stuff I pulled out of the bathroom remodel. Good timing but hard work.
Sunday we spent time with Karissa. Sue and I watched as Karissa created her project at Petroglyph. She did a great job. Then we visited with the rest of the family a bit as they were busy working on their camper. Another project coming together…..more later..

I did some recon on the window. Quite complicated how I am going to cut the hole and install it. Also did some testing on floor tile removal. But, the big thing of the day was removing the tub. I took a sledge hammer to it hoping it would break up (cast iron). No luck there. So I got out the cutting tools and sliced it in half. It was still stuck in place as the pieces just didn't want to slide out. After some tugging and pulling I was able to get that beast out of there…….more later..

We found a way to remove the tub. It is the typical tub, put in as the walls were being framed, very snug. It is made of cast iron. You Tube says take a sledge hammer to it. Today is the day. We shall see.
We made a Costco run and then I met with Jay for karate and coffee. Then we went to pick up the window. There was a little mix up but we finally loaded up the window,a five foot round window, into the van and headed home. Eric came over later to help unload it. Now I have to figure how to frame it in…..more later..

No turning back now. I have torn into the bathroom. The first goal is to get the tub out. Sheetrock and tile has been removed from the back wall, water pipes removed but I got stuck removing the drain. Sue got on Amazon and ordered a special tool that should do the trick.
