0632, Wed, 041410.     What nice weather, just a gentle breeze, the water is flat calm, and the animals are busy singing their morning songs.  We can hear roosters in the distance, something that lets out a big whoop of a whistle now and then, others chirping away to one another.

We are on the anchor but since we are a part of the Bahia Del Sol Cruisers Club we get full run of the hotel facilities.  They have a nice dinghy dock that floats, so it is right at water level.  There is an open air bar right at the waterfront complete with internet and beer for one buck.  (the beer is ice cold, mmmmm)  Behind that is a huge swimming pool where the cruisers meet in the afternoon to cool off until we all get well pruned in the fresh water.  We used the shower facilities yesterday where a palm tree grows right out of the floor and through the roof of the men's room.  Over by the lobby are three Macaws, two Scarlets and one Green.  They have free roam of the area and are quite fun to watch.  Climbing up into the tree was quite a job for them.  The Green went up first followed by one of the Scarlets.  The second guy was having a bit if a hard time getting a good grip with his beak when number three came along and started pestering him from behind.  There was a bit of a tiff for a moment, but they were able to get an understanding between them and the problem was solved.

Once again, it was nice to have a day off to recuperate from the overnighter.  We have been busy trying to remember all the names and connecting them with their boats.  They have come down from California for the most part, some from further north, but haven 't really experienced anything remote yet.  They talk of having cars and running back and forth across the CA/Mex boarder a dozen times, trips into Costco, what size air conditioner they have, that sort of thing.  Then there are the names of the places they have visited.  I can't begin to pronounce most of them.  One fellow said he only stops at places with names that are fun to say.  They talk of how rounding the points is such a problem, fighting against currents and such, then they look at me and say, "But you will be going the right way".  How kewl is that, to be going the right way for a change?  Everyone is asking about our ride through the breakers the other day.  We have become quite famous for our surf ride in.

Sue found Collette yesterday.  She and her husband are the ones who help you beach the boat and do bottom paint.  She said her husband is really the one who handles all that and he should be in on the 20th.  Until then we will find other things to do around here. Neos…..more later..
