0646, Tue, 053111. It is nice and calm once again. We started out nicely in the morning, calm seas, sunny skies, but it all changed from that point. I first noticed a few little clouds forming at the top of the local mountain. As the clouds grew the wind picked up and before long we had some pretty big rollers coming through the anchorage. Our fellow cruisers left one by one until we were the only hold outs left. The boat was facing into the waves so the ride wasn't too bad for us so we stuck it out. That is all behind us after calming down for a good night's sleep.
Lucky for us we got our chores done before the seas kicked up so it was satisfying knowing we had earned our day at laying around reading. Hey, I even won a card game. Now that is sure different. I may even play another.
So with the bouncy day there isn't a whole lot more to report on, but we did catch the evening movie, Fool's Gold with Kate Hudson, Matthew Maconnaughe (spell that one), and Elliot Gould playing an old guy. Typical treasure hunter plot. Matt is the fumbling treasure hunter, Kate his partner (kind of). They hook up with Donald Sutherland, the old rich guy, and struggle against all of the bad guys…….
