0733, Tue, 013112.     La Paz.     We had a great day yesterday and it looks like good weather today.

We started out early for the long walk to immigration.  We made it as far as the dinghy dock when we realized we forgot our paperwork.  The water was nice and flat so we could scoot across the channel back to Neos at top speed, something we haven't done in the dinghy in a long time.  Once back at the docks we were off on our trek.  We brought the radio along with us since the shop is only a few blocks from immigration, so we could drop in and see what was up with the radio.  The fellow was real nice.  He understood our lousy Spanish right away and headed into the back room to hook up the radio for a test.  He showed me that the yellow wire had to be hooked up with the red to get power to the radio.  I think the info I had said that the yellow was for the ignition, something that didn't really fit our situation on the boat.  He hooked it up and it worked great, so what the heck, the older model doesn't use the yellow wire.  Oh well.

Immigration went well.  We waited for our number to be called and went through some signing of more papers and a couple of finger prints, they tore off the bottom of the page and laminated it so we ended up with our little card.  All done, hoorah!  We are now semi citizens, ha.

We headed into the local grocery store, Aramburo, and did some shopping.  They had some stuff we have looked all over for and other stuff was missing.  We are always on the lookout for yeast, they had an entire section of yeast, then the peanut butter was right across the aisle, wow.

After shopping, we caught a taxi back to the marina, got the groceries packed away, ate lunch and headed to siesta time.  Next thing we knew, someone was knocking on the hull.  I guess it was later than we thought.  Russ and Janet were ready for cards.  We jumped right into card mode and away we went.  The guys won two out of three games, whoopee.

We finished up Weeds with a rifle crosshairs circling Nancy, the screen went black and there was a shot.  ????  ……more later..
