0651, Tue, 051512. Isla Coronados. Wow, not only is the weather perfect but the water temp is as well. We actually went swimming a couple of times yesterday. Not just a jump in hop out, but swimming. I was able to swim laps in the shade of the boat, it was awesome, like having my own indoor pool. Sue did a little cleaning around the waterline while enjoying the perfect water.
The bale of turtles were out there again. It is about time for mating season. With the calm water here we can see them poke their heads out of the water for quite a distance from the boat. They look like little mushrooms popping up all over. The rays are popping as well. Ah Spring!
Our neighbors all left so we had the anchorage to ourselves for the day. Very nice. We finally got a new neighbor after dark. They made a late entrance, but with the wide open area with no obstacles it makes for an easy entry.
We are in a noisy anchorage. No, not the fishing boats, just the sea gull convention. There are hundreds of them along the shore and for some reason, when one flies overhead the rest think they have to call to him. With this many gulls it is constant. I think they got started about four this morning. It really isn't too much of a bother as the noise sounds like they are laughing at something. I call them the morning bird alarm. Must have set the alarm too early today.
Cards, same ole thing. What can I say. I get two straights, she get four, and so on. Tony is now in big trouble. His uncle has finally gone over the edge and in all his craziness he shot Tony and hid in his closet. Oh boy…..more later..
