0718, Thu, 041613.  Caleta Lobos.

Wow, look at that, Caleta Lobos.  No longer hooked to the docks.

Right after breakfast we headed out to the local gas station with our jerry jugs in a dock cart, about a four block walk, to get some fuel for Neos.  Once fueled up we headed back out to the Oxxo (7-11 type store) and picked up one last bag of ice and our last ice cream bar for awhile.

11:30 was departure time.  Sue paid up the bill at the office, I had the boat running and all the lines but two on board so when she showed up with the guard he simply undid the front line, Sue the back line, and we were off.  The current was not a problem as there were only two tides for the day cutting the current almost to nothing and the wind was simply a slight breeze giving us a little nudge off the dock, nothing better than perfect.  Once out the gate we were free at last.

We made our trek out of La Paz channel, around the point and back to our home, Caleta Lobos.  A boat was going in before us, a local fishing boat pulling a strange looking rubber thing.  I think it is one of the enclosures for the fish farm just outside our little bay.   They anchored across the way leaving our spot just for us.  Bang, we sunk the anchor on the first try and we were home, greeted by the bo-bos (little tiny flies).  They are a pain but they don't bite and they keep the tourists away.

We stripped down and jumped in the water, just a little colder than we expected,  but nice enough to refresh.

Later in the day a guy came over on a kayak from the boat that came in during the day.  He said we had met once before, right here in Lobos.  It did come back to me then.  They had been across to the mainland and down as far as Z-wat and were now going to head up into the Sea.  It was fun to catch up on their adventures.

Movie time:  We are back to Sons Of Anarchy.  It is getting rough around the old MC clubhouse.  With the in fighting as well as the out fighting it is getting real mixed up.  Good entertainment but not so much for the kids…….more later..
