Just another day of perfect weather. This place has some perfect days, must be a nice place to live. Last week we got a morning of rain. I was laying in bed and could hear the drips landing at the bottom of the down spout outside. What a surprise. It poured pretty good in the early morning but then evened out for another beautiful day.
We were puttering around yesterday, I was getting some of my fixits done around the place, a little glue here and there. We had a two o'clock appointment so about one thirty we hopped in the car to head out. I turned the key and it was absolutely dead. Earlier in the day as I opened the garage door I noticed I had left the back hatch open, it must have drained the battery. Now here I was without a battery charger, hurumph. We cancelled the appointment and called up the insurance company, USAA. There is a roadside assistance as part of the program. The guy showed up in about five minutes. With a car that needed some charging up we took off for a ride around. We went past the property in town that has caught our interest and although only a block away from the railroad tracks we have become fond of this place. Then we checked it out some more on line and found another spot listing this property with a "Not For Sale" tag on it. More homework on this one. I spent the afternoon trying to fit a modest 800 sq ft house with a shop/garage on the property and found it very tight without stacking the house and scrunching everything up into a box.
Smoothie and a movie time: Another BBC series, a little better than the last but not that good. Sue hooked us up to Netflix and we watched Glee….more later..
