We looked at some more property yesterday and found one we liked. No need to get excited yet, the listing doesn't match the property address. It says something about sidewalks and there are no sidewalks. Oh well.
Max went with us to Old Town Sacramento to their Gold Rush Days Celebration. They bring in dirt and cover all the roads in that section of town making it very authentic. There were lots of horses and wagons and of course horse drawn fire trucks. Max got to get in on a corn husk doll making so he had something to take home for his sister. Then there was the burning of the brothel. The hussies hung out on the second floor balcony as the smoke started. The locals were down on the street yelling at the girls above. The fire department rushed in to save the day and it was a show well done.
Max's highlight was to go to the store where they sell hard animals. It is one of the best collections around so he got to check out each one deciding which he was going to add to his collection. He would choose, then walk around the store for a bit and come back only to choose another. It was quite a process but he was quite happy with his loot as we left the store…..more later..
