Yesterday was walk to school day. It is always fun to see the kids. Max seems to be growing up more by the day and Karissa is so cute with her hand full of stuffed animals that just have to come along for the ride.
It was our anniversary day and our son had treated us to a movie, the Hobbit, that has become quite a tradition over the years. But, oh the traffic. Don't think you will take a shortcut past the mall, ugh. We made it to the theater in plenty of time and enjoyed it tremendously. The way they make the Hobbit and Dwarves look small is outstanding and the scenery is perfect. I would love to get the job of building the kewl towns that were in that movie.
Afterwards we headed over for a visit with some friends who now live a block away. As we visited with the Zauchas it was pretty amazing how our lives have paralleled each other. Their children, although there are three, are about the same age as ours, they sold their home about the same time we did and went RVing, and now live only a block away with all three kids within shouting distance. Amazing. I also got my dog fix with a big black lab they saved from living on the streets. She was a little slow to warm up but once she got used to you she loved the petting behind the ears. We were buddies by the time the evening was over
.more later..
