We headed out right after breakfast to pick up the truck and go to HD to rent the roto rooter tool to clear out the drain from the back yard to the gutter out front. The machine is heavy but it works real well. We ran a little spade bit down the channel taking about an hour to get it through the entire length. Then we switched up to a little hole saw type bit and ran it through. This one took much longer, getting stuck in a few places but breaking through. We both noticed that when it got stuck and we backed out a little it would continue on without getting stuck at all for a few feet. Finally, we broke through the entire pipe. We had been pushing a tennis ball through, and lots of mud. The pipe should work well now with a drain cover on the tip end…..more later..
