0545, Sat, 122014. Rocklin, CA.

We made it to another milestone in life, our 44th. We spent the entire day together mostly in the attic of our new home trying to outsmart the electrical gremlins. We had a light fixture that was giving us grief and just could not figure out what was wrong. Sue did come up with a wire broken off inside a wire nut and we thought we were home free. No dice, still no power. We ran continuity checks on all the wires we could, leaving just the line to the service unchecked, but I could get a hot reading by connecting the hot lead to the ground inside the switch box. I finally thought it out. The only wire not checked was the neutral wire from the service. Aha, we brought power from another source and it finally worked. We were quite excited.
Our evening was spent at the movies, The Hobbit, thanks to Ryan and Beth. Bilbo finally made it home only to find all his neighbors were looting his house. They declared him dead and were auctioning off all his belongings.
After the movie we went to Boneshakers for dinner and enjoyed a good meal while watching Michelle in her environment skillfully working the bar.....more later..
