0732, Wed, 010715. Rocklin, CA.

We got the new (can I say new, we bought this thing a year ago) water circulator installed. This thing consists of a small pump at the water heater and a mixer valve at the far end of the house. Instead of running the water to heat up the shower and wasting all that precious H2O down the drain, this circulates the water through the hot line and back to the tank via the cold line. We have the option of using the switch or the timer as to when it turns on. The hardest part of the project was getting electricity to the water tank area. Sue is so nice to go through the attic and find a line for us. We thought we had the to a dead switch but the electric sniffer lied. POP, it was live. Good thing I sent her up with the old cutters with the chunk missing. Now there is another chunk missing but she is fine. That is why they put rubber on the handles. Oh well, electric was run, the items installed at both ends and we were ready to go. Today will be test day.......more later..
