Sue and I headed up the hill to Auburn to do a little work on the fence at our office building. The poor fence has been there for years and is getting pretty tired. Some of the boards have actually disappeared. It seems that during one of the last little winds a section gave out and toppled over. Not too bad of a project, with just a couple of new 2x4s I was able to get it back together. The hardest part of the project was working from both sides. Since there is no gate and it is a good six feet tall, I had to get in the truck and drive around the block everytime I wanted to work from the other side. So with a half dozen trips back and forth the job was complete, for now.
In the evening we got a visit from Phil and Kalen Adamson. They dropped by for a visit and dinner. You would have thought we spent a hundred years on the seas together as the stories started to go without end. It was fun hearing stories long forgotten and putting in others that came to mind.
It's nice to be home......more later..
