Happy B'day Ryan!!
I made it home, always an adventure. The wind blew like stink and the rain came down in buckets the day before I left Munjack. It was predicted to do the same today. There was a one day break in the rain but still a bit of wind as Phil and I headed across the waters to Treasure Cay Ferry Dock. The poor little boat was straining to push into the head wind as I sat up front to keep the bow down a little. The waves were just getting a little white off the tops so as we flopped over them it was like someone was spraying a hose in my face. I had a tarp to hide in and would cover my face each time the spray hit. We made it to the Ferry Dock but the only place to let me off was where the Ferry Boat comes in and it was just in sight coming from Turtle Cay. I quickly threw the bags off the boat and Phil and I shook hands and we were off in our separate directions. The flight, Silver Air, is notoriously late but they managed to get me out right on schedule. Bob, remember Bob and Jane building a house on Munjack, was in the airport and not only was he on my flight but sat right across the aisle from me. The waiting time flew by as we both visited with another couple waiting for the same plane.
The rest of the trip went pretty much without a hitch with my Atlanta connection being clear across the airport. I made it to the gate just as they called for my section of the plane to board, no waiting there. The long flight from Atlanta to Sac was filled with entertainment from the seat mates in my row. The lady was half looped and talked like a chatter box. I gathered that she is a realtor, runs marathons, and uses lip gloss on the golden retriever every night, oh, and believes she will come back in another life as some sort of animal.
So, I made it home without a hitch really am happy to be here with the love of my life as we got our morning coffee and headed out the door to look in the garden at everything she has accomplished in my absence.....more later..
