Happy Birthday to our beautiful daughter in law Beth!! Also...the transition to Manjack wasn't explained yesterday. I will be spending 10 days in the Bahamas to help the Adamsons get their house in shape. Sue stayed behind in Rocklin to get a vacation from me!
It was to be a day of rest, trying to catch up from the sleepless trip across the states. So, we walked around the island, through the path to the Far Side, down the beach to the West End to hang out there for awhile. It is a beautiful little bay lined with a crescent shaped beach. One of the cruisers had told us about feeding the stingrays there. A couple of stingrays came in to look and hover around as well as a half dozen curious sharks, but they were used to bigger feeds when the local fishing trips end there to clean the day's catch.
We walked on, along the beaches of the west side of the island, cut through another path back to the Far Side to catch the path through the jungle back to the house. Probably a five or six mile hike but much farther considering most was through soft sand. It was nice to sit for awhile....more later..
