Our solar panels came for Tess the other day so there was some design time spent on mounts. I want to be able to tilt the panels yet keep it fairly simple. I think I came up with something that will work. I also want to put in a fan in the ceiling that will run when the sun shines on it. You would think it would be simple to have a something like this but the ones on the market are so small I don't think they would air out a shoe box. Then there is the possibility of driving rain getting in while traveling down the road. It just isn't there. So I was on the hunt for an effecient fan, a small solar panel, and a hatch.
Sue just walked in with a new idea. No solar panel, but hook the fan into the regular battery bank and then I suggested putting a photovoltaic switch on it. Now there is an idea.....more later..
