1833, Tue, 082515. Choksaw Nation, Southern Oklahoma.

There is a princess in Rocklin with a birthday today. Happy Birthday Karissa!

Tess is running superbly! Although she acts up when trying to lock the doors. I turn the key in the lock and you can hear the knobs go down, then they go right back up. Usually only once, ha. Those Minihunies at work. Then the circulation button for outside/inside air doesn't want to stay on inside air, but not a problem. We still ride in comfort.
Last night we visited with Colleen, Jason, Addison, and Sawyer, oh and don't forget Vidal their big fluffy white dog, named after a grape. So loveable. We got a first hand look at wine making with a personal wine tasting. Jason explained the difference between western grapes and midwest grapes and the difference in tastes. We tried severl kinds and they were all very good. We enjoyed chatting and interacting with the kids, then we headed off to the van for a night's sleep.
We woke about sun up, just before the workers that are working on a new barn for wine production. Packed up the sleeping bags and were on the road. Missouri, Arkansas, then into Oklahoma. Arkansas gets the best roads in America award. They aren't new but they have taken good care of them. The patches are seamless and the bumps have all been ground smooth. Speed limit was 75 and it felt like you were gliding on air. Very nice, until we crossed the border, ha. Oklahoma is a bit dryer although nothing like California. There is lots of grass just like the northern states but it is starting to show a little yellow.
We are staying in a KOA campground right next to a casino which we haven't gone to see as yet. First stop was the swimming pool. The water is just right as well as the air temp. Nice to enjoy. We will take in the casino before we leave since the shuttle picks you up at your camp spot and delivers you to the front door. This is the most upscale KOA I have ever seen. There is no dirt. The roads are concrete as well as all the parking spots with grass and shrubs making up the landscaping. The club house is like something in a high end hotel complete with game room, restroom and showers and small store. Heck, we might just never leave, ha.
So I finish this off with a wine glass in one hand, a bird chirping in the tree as I overlook the swimming pool. Not too bad, heh? .....more later..
