The garage door opener finally gave up the ghost. It destroyed the gears inside, toast. Also, I was getting a big clunk as it opened but not every time. I wasn't able to see what was hanging up. Sue went online and got a guy to come out and check things out for us. It turned out to be the guy who lives next door to the Blooms. Great guy. He took out the old machine, installed the new opener and gave the door a tune up. The spring needed tightening and one rail needed to be moved over. The clunking was one of the cables hanging up because of the misalignment. The new opener is soooo quiet. Pretty cool…..more later..
