0705, Wed, 051111. We just caught Jim after the Picante Net, loud and clear. It sounds like they got hit with some winds on the nose last night as they passed through Canal de Cerralvo, just before you head into the bay through the San Lorenzo Channel. Jim said the wind was blowing pretty good and visibility was down so they made the decision to go clear around Isla Espiritu Santo. So they will get in later today.
We left our little spot just as another boat arrived. Without the winds the little eye flies came on in abundance. We were chasing them out of the cockpit all the way to La Paz. Pity anyone who doesn't have screens on their windows. We had a great couple of hours ride down to La Paz and into the long channel. Once at the anchorage we had our choice of where we wanted to drop the hook. The anchorage has a lot less boats than our last stop here, other than that it is the same ole place. We enjoyed a great afternoon with a slight breeze to keep things cool. The winds picked up a little during the night but nothing to keep one awake.
Still on Glee for movie time. Oh, and I guess I should mention Sue won at cards, ha. I guess I won't have to worry about wasting my good luck anymore on a mere card game…..more later..
