0726, Tue, 121311. La Paz. We got up and started the coffee and figured it was time to head into town. There was just a slight breeze with flat water so that added up to moving on. It was quite uneventful heading into town. Once we got to the mouth of the channel Sue called the Marina on the radio. Good thing she had sent an e mail the other day. They finally got the idea that we were a catamaran needing the extra width. Adriana at the marina explained that the slip we were told would be ours was indeed not ours, but they had another spot for us. No matter, without any wind we would be able to get into just about any slip. On the way in we noticed there were two boats in the slip we were told was ours, so it didn't look like they had any intention of putting us there. Typical. We found our spot and swung in without a hitch. They had a line guy there to help out and the neighbor was right there as well. We met Bill and later his wife, Dana. They have just come down from Seattle and have no real plans from here. I said good, stick to it.
On the way in I noticed Alex II was right across the channel from us. He came over for a chat and mentioned he was leaving on Wednesday, eventually heading to La Cruz.
I finished tying up the boat and cleaning the bridle while Sue ran into the office to check in. She was gone for an hour and a half, a new girl in the office, and was exhausted once back on board.
We did get in a card game, humph. And a few episodes of Big Love. Same old thing
.more later..
