0725, Thu, 011912. Caleta Lobos. A bit overcast this morning with a puff of wind now and then. We had a great day yesterday with the clouds burning off and puffy winds all day long. It was an absolutely beautiful day to sit on the back deck hidden from the wind, basking in the sun with just a pair of shorts on reading a good book. I am about half way through another thick book, this time reading about Benjamin Franklin. He certainly was an interesting person, one of those on the list to go back and talk with for a bit.
Things seem back to normal around here. I woke this morning to find the burros grazing on the hillside. Yesterday I just happened to be outside and heard a big poof and saw a sea lion swimming by. I called to Sue and we watched as the sea lion circled the boat and came up right at our bow, then off he went. He was a big guy, just out lookin' for a meal. We can hear them from the rock just outside the bay, their croaking as something unsettles them.
We are now down to just one other boat next to us and one way across the bay. RnR left after breakfast time as did one of the other boats to beat the forecasted wind. I don't think the wind ever got too high though and it looked like they probably had a pretty good ride back into town.
I'm back to sanding on the table top and now it looks like it might be ready for a coat of varnish. This time I will dilute it and see if that makes it lay down better. Keep those fingers crossed.
Hey Sue (Duda), Sally would be right at home in these parts. The boat next to use has two little Pugs aboard. They look to be perfect size for sailing. They got to go for a ride to the beach yesterday for a long walk.
Cards, humph. Well, I guess I have to let her win once in awhile. It was close, I think anybody's game right up to the last.
Movie time and I think we are close to the end of season three. What do people do in
