0732, Wed, 011812.     Caleta Lobos.

Note: Sue posted December's blog with pictures.

Check it out at lloydjourney-neos.blogspot.com

We had a perfect morning ahead of us with no breeze and flat waters.  Before leaving town though, we wanted to make one last trip into the store to pick up some fresh fruit.  We popped into the marina and hiked to the Mega, found most of what we were after and then hiked back.  Of course we stopped by RNR one last time to see how they were doing and what they were up to.  They said they may follow us out later in the day.

We brought up the anchor and followed the tide, making for a real nice exit from La Paz.  We took our time heading the short distance up the coast and made our way past Roca Lobos and into our little spot.  We joined one other boat and set the hook.  It is always nice to be out of town.

On our way out we heard RNR on the radio asking for assistance with line handling and knew they wouldn't be too far behind us.  Sure enough, they showed up later in the day.  Russ said they could really sail good away from Caleta Lobos but just so so coming here.  With just a slight breeze here they have had a great weather window.

Sue and I played cards, I'm on a winning streak, while Sue suffered the loss.  Oh well, I must enjoy it now because the door will slam shut one of these days.

The boat next to us called the anchorage for anyone to respond and Sue was nice enough to answer.  A small boat named Kashmir, with at least three aboard, asked if we had heard about the weather.  They had been further up the line in the islands so hadn't gotten any news on weather in awhile.  We gave them what we had.

Movie time, the same old thing and off to sleep……more later..
