0731, Thu, 012612.     La Paz.     The wind continues as the boats waltz.  Keeping my helm over to the side has really seemed to calm Neos down a lot.  Now we need to get the word out to the rest of the fleet.  We got up during the night to check on the others.  There was one monohull next to us that was running wild.  Sue said she would stay up for awhile to watch.  Things went fine but we have a sleepy head this morning.

I worked on the knobs on our port holes, each window having two little knobs that can be adjusted by screwing them tighter or looser.  This ability to adjust them has diminished over time so I removed them and after cleaning the threads with a small pick and adding a drop of antilock oil to help them stay active for the future I think they are in good shape.  A few gave up the ghost with the metal pin shearing off so we will replace those.  Sue was busy but the books for the grandkids are complete.  She finished up Max's book yesterday.  I think they will be just as good as the others.  I helped with the editing, almost a never ending job.  Max has been reading his books (five in all) lately and really enjoys them.

We tried an earlier time on our Skype call making contact at 5:30 our time.  For some reason their picture wasn't coming through, always seems to be a hitch.  It was fun to talk with them.  Eric took Max to the Monster Truck show.  That was a big hit.

I took the card game in the afternoon, whew, walked away with it really.  Movie time, and we are back to the movies.  We watched Cars II.  Another Pixar well done.  It must have taken a ton of work to put it together.  Looking back, I remember when Roger Rabbit came out, they predicted it would be the last of animated cartoons.  I think it just bumped up the appetite and new ways were found to produce the products.  A must see movie….more later..
