With chores done, we dropped the mooring and were off to the sea. Supposed to be southerlies so we headed north to a bay that would be protected, except the wind was directly on the nose the entire way, even with little white caps starting up (white caps represent about ten knots of wind). No sailing, good thing it is a short trip. Once we entered Bahia Marquer, before we even dropped the hook, the wind did a shift and was coming out of the south. What the heck, where were the southerlies when we needed them. Oh well, such is cruising.
We are the only boat in the anchorage so we have the place to ourselves. A little different from having several boats right outside your door while on a buoy. Late in the evening a group of kayakers landed on the beach, about a half mile away, but still within our bay. Our breeze calmed down to flat seas for the night as we slept like babies.
We got in an afternoon card game and I was on a roll. Kind a nice for a change. Later we watched Tony with all his worries and problems, ha, then it was off to our great night's sleep
..more later..
