0647, Sat, 060212. Bahia Agua Verde. I actually had fun fishing. Tom came over first thing in the morning and we were off to the hunt. We went around the point where I was shown how he likes to set up his lines. We had the lines in the water in no time and within a few minutes we had hooked a few little chubs. Unfortunately they were throw backs but at least something was on the line. We headed across the bay to another spot and before I knew it we had landed three more fish, all keepers. Then we headed over to the far point and hooked a couple more all within an hour. Now that is fishing, nope, catching!
We headed back to Eagle where Tom demonstrated the Eagle method of filet then I was dropped off back at Neos to show off the catch of the day. Success!
As the day wore on the wind came up and the anchorage filled. We now have about a dozen boats in this little anchorage but each one has done a magnificent job of placing themselves where no two boats are on top of each other. We all jumped in the water for a swim, quite brisk, but that didn't stop Katie. As Sue and I got out after a short swim, Katie went for a long swim with snorkel gear for a tour of the rocks. She came back with stories of all sorts of fish sightings and had a lot of fun.
We taught Katie how to play Baja Rummy and she beat both of us veterans. Beginner's luck. In the evening we enjoyed a great time sitting on the front trampoline, a great way to finish a day….more later..
