0718, Sat, 062312. Juncalito. I got my chores done, a little touch up paint around the kitchen and solon area. It is looking real nice. Then I decided to go for a kayak ride. It is a lot of fun but our little kayak doesn't really want to go in a straight line very well so you have to constantly paddle. It is fun to go along the edge and look down into the clear water past all the seaweed to the big boulders below. There must be a million little sergeant majors everywhere you look. I saw a few other fish but mostly the water was filled with the little yellow and black striped guys. I managed to follow the shore clear out around the point and back and I am now paying for it. I am so stiff I can hardly move. But, no pain no gain.
The rest of the day was the usual, a dip in the water to cool off, some reading, winning at the card game, simply the usual.
Our weather has been perfect with a wind in the afternoon into the evening and then pure calm for a good night's rest. We were enjoying a nice restful time reading under the new shade covers when right next to the boat a big sting ray decided to do his belly flop. We both jumped.
Movie time was good. We watched Burn After Reading, George Clooney and Brad Pitt. Kinda funny. The movie seemed to have two themes the main one being the infidelity of couples, but the title gives away the other theme of how messed up the CIA can get in a sort of humorous way…..more later..
