Yesterday was a typical day, chores reading, just lounging around. In the afternoon we switched things up by getting the other boats in the anchorage over for an evening of chit chat. The boat Cheerios couldn't make it. They were celebrating their 31st anniversary. Newlyweds! Oasis joined in along with Joss. Now Joss we met in town the other day but today realized we had spent an evening with them down south in Las Hadas. We had a great time chatting about everything under the sun. It has been a long time since we have done anything like that, lots of fun.
Just as everyone was picking up and getting ready to leave we got another warning on the VHF that there was a huge cell that ran from the states clear down to Topolobamba on the mainland. Chubasco time. We all scurried around taking down the shades and getting the boat ready. We could see a little bit of lightning off in the distance but by the time it made it across the Sea it had fallen apart. Whew! The wind settled to absolute calm throughout the night, so it was just the opposite of a Chubasco.
