After the scare of a chubasco we put all our shade covers back up first thing in the morning. We are now in full shade. In fact Sue wanted to make some sun tea yesterday and had a hard time finding a spot to put the bottle in the sun.
I did a little more restoration on the dinghy seat yesterday so that project is coming along slow but sure. The local glue that I bought seams to be working good, although it is real runny and very sticky. It only has to hold the parts in place long enough to get a layer of fiberglass on anyhow, so all is well there.
We headed to Oasis for our afternoon card game. It was a real flip flop game. The first round I was hot so Jim and I took that without much trouble. But the second round went right down the tubes. We came back pretty good in the third round but we had to make up too much ground I guess and the ladies took the win. Way to go gals.
Movie time. Dick. This was about Richard Nixon and the Watergate era. It was done well except for Will Ferrell. I was ready to turn the movie off when Sue said she didn't think he had that big of a part in it. Well, she was right. The movie was saved by giving him such a small role.
Sort of a story like Forest Gump. A couple of girls get mixed up in the whole Nixon/Watergate problem and become the Deep Throat connection that brought down the President. Not a must see movie but entertaining……more later..
