0655, Tue, 061212.     Nopolo.     Katie finally made it home safe and sound!

The May monthly blog (with pictures) is posted on this blogsite, back a few days.  Sue blew it and posted it here so enjoy!

We left Coronados and had breakfast on the run.  We had a new store to try out in Loreto.  We dropped the hook outside the harbor and what?  No kids at the dock.  Must be in school.  We forgot our directions to the store back on Neos so we had to wing it.  Not bad.  We found it without any hitches.  It's a funny little store packed with goods.  They have tiny carts, the kind you see kids pushing around the stores back home.  The aisles are just big enough to maneuver these little carts but heaven help you if someone else is coming the other way.  There is absolutely no way you would pass.  They even sport all four wheel steering to get around the corners.  The highlight of the place is a big room in the back.  It is cooled (great place to hang out) and is full of produce.  It also houses the deli, fresh spices, and get this, dog food.  Must have run out of space out front.  We got what we needed and headed back to the boat.

Anchor up with flat seas and we were off to Nopolo.  It isn't in the guide book so we have ignored this little cove in the past but had heard about it and thought, since the weather was light, we would try it out.  Nopolo is built around a golf course, has a resort, and a bunch of houses, upper class all around.  The cove is shallow but three of us boaters were able to anchor with just enough protection from the south.  I wouldn't even think of being here with a north wind.  The neighbors came over and introduced themselves, Jake and Sharon on what else, Jake.  They were headed into the best kept secret in the area, the resort.  Being cruiser friendly, they allow cruisers into the pool.  Well, we hung out for awhile on board and went in about four.  It is always nice to get a fresh water dip.  I had a beer, out of obligation mind you, so we weren't freeloading.  We found the folks from Jake as well as Bill and Diane from True Love.  We found a place under a shade cover with padded lounges.  We took a dip in the nice cool pool, said hi to our fellow cruisers and then headed over to the lounges to do just that.  Oh so nice.

All good things come to an end though.  We headed back to Neos for our card game and by then it was movie time.  Source Code was playing so we took that one in.  Good movie, really twists your head around.  The guy flip flops back and forth from present to past.  He ends up….well I can't tell you that, don't want to mess up the ending.  Check it out…….more later..
