0718, Wed, 060612. Bahia Candeleros. We'd seen about all there was to see at Agua Verde so the only thing left would have been to laze around. Time to pick up the old anchor and move along. There is one stretch along this run that the winds can kick up but we made it just fine in calm seas. Of course this meant that we had to motor but it was a nice run. Katie was greeted by a large pod of dolphins coming towards us and then passing fairly closely by our port hull. They weren't playful so they must have been hunting
no time to play with catamaran bows!! We swung by the big rock of the Hand of God and peeked into the window alongside Candeleros Chico and found not one, but two boats in there. Way too crowded for us. Good thing since later, as that wind kicked up, it must have gotten pretty rough in there. We knew one of the boats in there and they must have gotten out quick. We saw them come around the corner and anchor in our bay. In fact, the crowd that was down in Agua Verde has moved up here to Bahia Candeleros. We have a couple of dozen boats in the area. We got a few visitors before heading over to land. We did the trail that leads out to the point and checked out the view then headed over to the pool and joined some of our other friends pool side. Wow, no one seems to mind us being there and we thoroughly enjoyed the nice water in the swimming pool. We chatted with Cathy on Wild Rose and found that she worked in the same career field as Katie is in. She was able to help a lot, giving advice, as they seemed to hit it off well.
While we were at the pool, Tom and Jeanie of Eagle came by and said hi. They both were sporting a new hairdo. Tom used to have long hair pulled back in a pony tail. It is all gone now as well as on Jeanie. They now have crew cuts all around. Now that is drastic.
Back on Neos we finished up the day with a few rounds of a card game we don't really know the name of but it hadn't been played yet so we gave it a go. We call it Gitchie Goomie. It was a fun way to finish the day.
Sue just got hooked up with the internet out of Loreto and we got a great e mail from our grandson. Thank you Max
..more later..PS I forgot to mention in the log of the other day our visitors at Agua Verde. A panga came by in the late afternoon during our game time with a big local family. There must have been close to a dozen of them. It was like trick or treat. All the kids were calling for candies. Sue dug out some old stuff we had from Halloween, passed it out, and they were happy
