Once again we are on our own. Russ and Janet picked up their rental car and treated us to a trip to the grocery store. Instead of a full morning trip to the store, with the car it went by so quick we were amazed. We wondered what land people do all day with the extra time they gain.
After that we headed to the lockers across the street from Marina De La Paz and emptied their locker. They had three good sized rolling duffels packed full. We put them in the back of the rental and Russ ran it back to the yard next to their boat. We then enjoyed a great meal at Ciao Molina, the little restaurant right across the street from Marina De La Paz that none of us had been to. We were a little early for the regular dinner crowd and enjoyed being the only people in the place. The waiter was real nice and had a good sense of humor. He was thanking us in lots of different languages, of course Spanish and English, but then Italian, then he asked if we knew how to say thank you in Chinese. We were all surprised at this when he quickly said he didn't either.
After, we headed down town to the ice cream shop for a little dessert and then it was time to head back to the yard where we tried not to come to tears with bunches of hugs. We headed out to Neos already missing our dear friends. This has to be the hardest part of cruising, after helping each other, growing close, learning about their life/family the parting. We all agreed it is not good-bye but to keep an eye out, we may still end up on their front door stoop some day soon
..more later..
