I think Sue enjoyed her day. I mean, what more could she ask for. A bus ride across town to the local Walmart. That's right, Wal-Mart. It was more the outing than a trip to Wal-Mart. We wanted to get out of the boat and figured we hadn't been down that way in awhile.
But first, I made breakfast for Sue before we headed out. After coming back I started the lunch. I deboned a chicken, stuffed it, then cooked it in wine in the pressure cooker. This was no easy feat. The skin on the local chickens is like paper, making it real tough to stuff. Then when I went to brown it in the pressure cooker there was no way it was going to turn over without falling apart. It wasn't real pretty but by the time I got it on the plate it not only looked good but was real tasty. The stuffing was a concoction I came up with brown rice, sausage and spices. It made for a yummy meal. Later I made up some brownies and we even went to the store and had an ice cream bar. Now for the big part, I let Sue win at the card game, ha. She trounced me. It is really hard to pick out the lousy cards.
We finished up the sleeper movie from the night before, simply horrible with a horse getting caught between the Germans and the Americans during the war and getting all tangled in the barbed wire. I couldn't watch. The ending was just what you would expect. The horse finds his original master and heads home happily ever after
more later..
