0710, Mon, 071013.  Caleta Lobos.

Sue has posted the May blog with pictures.  Check out the new blog at

It is another rolly morning after a rolly night.  We were laying there in the middle of the night, you know that half awake half asleep mode.  During the day we tie the boom to one side so the sun can get to the solar panels.  Well, it had worked loose and unfortunately the loose end was on the cleat right above us.  As we rocked back and forth it would let out a squeak.  There was no sleeping through it.  So I got up and pranced around the deck in the dark, trying to keep my balance but not wake up too much.  I got it tied down and snuggled back into my warm bed to finish the night away.

I would say yesterday was a very productive day.  I was able to find two dozen new relatives but the little leafy hints climbed another 70 making the total of those now 906.  This makes for a never ending hobby I think.  Sue finished with another group of pictures and is almost ready to tackle our immediate family of four.  Another never ending hobby I'm afraid!  Aside from all that we managed to get the deck swabbed, fill the water tanks, and make an adjustment to the belt that drives the water maker, oh, and check the water in the batteries.

We also snuck in a rounding game of cards.  I jumped way out in front on the first round but Sue managed to close the gap near the end but not quite enough to make a win.  I am now on the longest winning steak in ages, two in a row.

Our daughter is now writing a daily web blog, www.fabric-ation.com.  It is a go to spot for family activity.  Everything from ideas she is trying out with the kids to what's up in the garden and some dynamite exercise routines, this girl really stays in good shape.  Be sure to check it out and pass the word around to your friends.

Last night the second in the series of the Hobbits was showing, The Fellowship of the Ring.  I think maybe just a bit long but still very entertaining.  I pick up a new little tidbit every time I watch…..more later..
