It has been blowing for the past 48 hours non stop. Ok, enough all ready. Not necessarily a bad thing. The tide was shifting out of our favor at about 10am, so after breakfast we got going as soon as we comfortably could. With the anchor stowed we headed out of the anchorage and into the channel where we were able to unfurl the jib and sail all the way to Caleta Lobos. It was a nice leisurely ride, we weren't in any hurry, at anywhere from four knots down to two. The wind had a chill to it but I was nice and cozy sitting on the seat in the back where the sun was warming the material and myself. We arrived at Lobos and were greeted by an empty anchorage, dropped the hook in our favorite spot and enjoyed a shower on the back steps of the boat. Pretty rough in paradise.
We actually got out the cards and played a miserable game of 64 to reassure me that it is a wonder that I play at all. The movie time came around so we got to watch The Life Of Pi. This is one strange story. Part of you wants to believe it was a true story yet it is so outlandish in parts. The filming was incredible, just amazing what can be done nowadays. A little tough to watch someone ship wrecked in the middle of the ocean, stranded on a life raft all the while we sit comfortably in our boat. I would rather leave these shipwreck movies for when I am land based and it isn't so close to home, ha
..more later..
