0714, Wed, 071213. Caleta Lobos.

Just another routine day on Neos.  Do a little cleaning, a little straightening, a little computer work, win the card game.  Hey, I'm on a roll here.  I got to squeeze out a close one yesterday.  I love these games.

It looks like most of the clouds have passed on but the wind is still with us.  It would be nice to have a little less but it is so nice to have all the extra power so we can both run the computers all day long.  Oh well, change is good, what change will be next.

Last Christmas we bought a tripod for our daughter.  She has gotten into doing some photography.  When she went to use it one of the legs wouldn't stay locked, rats.  After contacting Butterfly Photo, the people that make this tripod, they simply sent her a brand new one.  Now how is that for service.  I just thought I would give them a plug for being so generous.  Nice to get a problem solved so easily.

We got our visit from the Mexican Navy yesterday.  They come on board once in awhile to check out your paper work.  It could be a little scary but we have gotten quite used to it.  They show up at full speed out of nowhere, a driver on the outboard, two guys with M-16s in hand and a guy standing on the bow.  They are quite friendly but speak almost no English.  I think we ended up with two 15 horse power motors in Neos instead of just the one on the dinghy but what the heck, the blanks were all filled in, that's what counts.  Once it is over the guy gets back in the panga and away they go.

The Hobbit is now over, good to the very end.  I liked one quote from Gimli, the dwarf.  Just as they were getting ready to go off to war he said, Very little chance of success, almost no chance of survival.  What the heck are we waiting for?……more later..
