00710, Fri, 083013.  Rocklin, CA.

We had a fun day with the grandkids but spent most of  the day with Karissa, our three year old.  We arrived at their place early enough to walk with Max to school.  Michelle was heading out for an overnighter with a friend for a little R&R.

For Karissa there is no toy other than the new doll house.  She simply loves that thing.  When asked which toy she wanted to take to the bath on her birthday, she asked if she could take the doll house.

It is fun to see the imagination come alive while she plays.  The little people we supplied with the house fit in perfectly (just good luck on that one).  Her ponies come in and, of course, the family car.  Then Daddy needs a car to get to work so the cow with wheels shows up.  It goes on and on.  Quite fun to watch her active little mind going.

I picked Max up from school showing a grin from ear to ear.  He was having fun with one of the other kids in his class as they walked across the school grounds.  It looked like they were tossing their back packs around, wearing them upside down and just being great kids.  We headed home and right up to his room to look at library books.  He has a small set of identification books, the kind with trees in one, ocean animals in another and so on.  He pulled out his shells and we tried to identify the different kinds.

Dad came home from work so we had dinner and then headed to Jiu Jitsu.  Max has really improved since the last time we went.  It was back to school night so we hung around getting the kids to bed while Eric made the trip to school.

A trip back to our place and time for a movie:  We have checked out Mad Men from the library so I guess it will be that for a bit.  It looks like repeats for now as we don't keep track of what we have seen (probably a big mistake)…..more later..
