Sue had made several tubes for Ryan to be filled with sand and use around his swimming pool in order to control some of the winter time rains. Ryan had filled them and it was time to sew up the ends. They are about five or six feet long and now filled with sand making for some pretty heavy items. We set the sewing machine up right behind the car in the garage/ shop and took them out of the trunk one by one and got them all sewn up. Job done.
I guess the highlight of our day was our walk down to the local Safeway only two blocks away. Now that doesn't sound far but they are real long blocks and probably a quarter to a third of a mile stretch. Exercise is the main reason for walking to the store so we went at a pretty good clip. Of course my enticement is the Starbucks in the store so I got my reward while Sue picked up a few odds and ends. The freshness in the air this time of year is awesome. The leaves are just starting to get a yellow tinge but still hold a lot of green in them, just beautiful. So, if you have been hurrying through your day, take a moment to check out your trees and see if they too are as beautiful as ours
more later..
