0727, Sun, 091513.  Rocklin, CA.

I started the day out early, karate day.  We had a pretty good turnout and the class went real well.  I'm not sure if I am catching up or the classes are a little easier, hopefully I am catching up.  After, the group headed over to Denny's for a gathering with our old leader, Marty.  This is the first time I have gotten to see him since coming back and it was a great visit.

I next headed up the hill to our old stomping grounds, Meadow Vista.  There was a piece of property to check on.  It was right behind the park, downtown on Meadow Lane, about an acre on a slight hillside covered with oaks.  I gave it an 8 out of 10 but it didn't make me fall in love with it.  The road was private and very gravely but no pot holes.  The property itself looked a little narrow for its length but would work well for access to the downtown Meadow Vista area.  Hmmm, what to do.

I road around town a little and the buildings were all identical except for a paint job here and there and maybe a new sign out front.  The trees in the area have grown making it hard to see the park from the road but everything pretty much was as we left it, a small sleepy little town.

Back home, Sue and I watched the Americas Cup.  The poor US team is getting stomped.  They come out of the first gates just great, then fly to the second set of buoys, then simply fall apart there.  With a new tactician aboard I had hoped for more from them but it was like watching a replay of the last race.  Time is running out for these guys.

I worked on some Genealogy, Sue's side of the family, and now have over 2,000 people accounted for on her side bringing the total up to just short of 4,000 people total.  Crazy, who would have thought.

More Glee in the evening then off to la la land for a restful night, calm seas, no wind or tide….oops I must have drifted off there……more later..
