I was on the hunt once again going back into the family tree. I really thought I scored when I found a relative who lived right in the local area, what is known as Old Town Sacramento. I had the actual address in 1880 on
Then came the big find. As I searched down another branch of the family I started finding royal titles like Lady so 'n so or Marquis of such and such. Then I found it. King Edward the III. Now, if you have ever watched the movie Braveheart, yeah, that is the guy. So Sue started laughing because that would mean the goofy son in the movie was my relative, but then, if the story is true it isn't the King I am related to, it would have been the wife from Spain who had Braveheart's baby. I could be related to the Scottish hero William Wallace.
Well, lots of laughs over that one.
It was pre-spelling day at Max's class today. If they get all the words correct they get a tougher list for the week. He was missing some really easy words so his mom said if he aced the test she would take him swimming. He aced it once again so they were over for a visit.
Later in the day we got to thinking, Meadow Vista might be a bit far up the road for us. I was looking at a piece of property up there the other day that did spark some interest. As we talked over the visit from the kids we decided we didn't want to give up those times in the coming years, so the search I think will be closer to Rocklin. At least we are narrowing our search area some.
We watched an actual movie last night, well, not a movie but a documentary from National Geographic on the founders of our country in
