0743, Tue, 092413.  Rocklin, CA.

Sue wanted to check out a material shop we had been to once before back when we visited the area.  Triad is located in one of those upscale warehouse areas with a huge showroom.  We were checking the bolts of material when a clerk came by and suggested we take the whole bolt home to see if the color would match.  She said we could even take two or three home.  Now isn't that an interesting concept.  So we checked out two bolts and ran home with them, made the decision, and they got the sale.

We are a day behind on America's Cup so I don't know what the outcome is for yesterday but the day before's race was outstanding.  If the US had been sailing like this from the get go it would have been over long ago.  It is very exciting to watch since the catamarans are so light.  One little gust of wind and the 700 meter lead disappears in a few seconds.  The US held on to both races which means the event goes on.

Max did good on the pre-spelling test once again so they came over for a couple hours of fun.  Sue has decided to put together a fun thing for them to do each week.  Yesterday's came from Pinterest, Halloween smiles.  Apple slices make the lips, mini marshmallows make the teeth and peanut butter works for the glue to hold the whole thing together.  The kids loved it, especially since they got to eat the final project.

Movie time was spent watching a new TV series, Blacklist.  The guy from Boston Legal plays the lead role with his quirky personality, great for the part.  Looks like it might be a winner….more later..
