0705, Sun, 100613.  Rocklin, CA.

 

We got a chance to hang out with the Grand Kids yesterday while their Mom and Dad got an evening off.  No sooner were Mom and Dad out the door than the kids came up with the idea to go check out the toy store and pet shop.  They promised it was just a window shopping trip and off we went.  They were both so good.  The toy store has plenty of hands on stuff for the kids to play with so they had plenty to do.  Karissa found the little wooden train set and played there for a good half hour while Max and I scouted out the hard plastic animals, the stuffed animals, then on to the bikes and cars.  Well, all good things come to an end.  We had to move on if we wanted to make it to the pet store. 

Here we found lots of little lizards, frogs, turtles, birds, kittens and dogs.  The kittens were up for adoption, trying to find homes for strays.  The dogs were in the grooming shop which was full with about eight dogs all getting spruced up for the weekend.

Back home the kids had Sue in charge of the pet store with all their little animal toys out then she had to run the auto center selling cars.  They pushed their cars around the living room picking up new pets and exchanging cars. 

They are growing up fast.  Karissa is almost self sufficient going to the bathroom while Max is now on his own taking a shower.  They are both so much fun to be around that I must say, their Mom and Dad are doing a great job of raising two fine individuals….more later..  (PS, I'm not the doting Grandfather am I?)..
