0706, Thu, 101713.  Rocklin, CA.

 

We put a low offer on the property here in Rocklin just to get some feedback and to get the ball rolling.  I got out the new drafting board and got a rough draft of the new house.  I have managed to keep it under 1,000 sq ft.  I have found that it is easy to design big, but to make it small and not feel crowded is a real challenge.  After living on a boat we have found we really don't need that much room.  The lot is small as well so the only way we would be able to get more space would be to go to two stories, another thing we don't want to get into.  Nothing wrong with two stories, it just seems that we are forever forgetting something on the other floor from where we are, ha.

We had a great little get together over lunch with Ryan.  He works near the Fountains Shopping Center so we headed to the Noodle Company.   I enjoyed a Japanese noodle dish with some chicken added, real tasty.  We caught up with the latest stuff going on in Ryan's life and talked about going halves on a work truck.  It looks like it might work out without too much inconvenience to either of us. 

Of course it was karate night.  I had fun on Monday skipping class due to Columbus Day, but I am stiff this morning.  I think I could really get to dislike those holidays….more later..
