Rain? Just a few drops on the windshield, but snow over the summit. What kind of weather is this?
I'm still running around in shorts and flip flops!
We had a busy day with several visits here and there. One visit was to the dentist to get a teeth cleaning. Sue had found a discount coupon so we knew we were in for a sales pitch. First off was the amazing machine that takes X-rays. The technician didn't even leave the room. I'm not so sure I would put that much faith in that little 12 inch plastic ring to protect me but such is the new world. After waiting, then X-rays, then waiting, then an inspection of each tooth with "readings" conveyed to the assistant who diligently put it all into the computer records I was then given the recommendations. After Sue's turn we waited some more as we were given over to the secretary who wrote up an estimate and presented it to us. It was all legit but heck, I'm not sure I need every filling changed out and every tooth capped. We were free to go, oh, right after making another appointment to get our teeth cleaned.
Why is it now, when we go to the doctor for something specific, we get all this other stuff and never get what we were there to begin with? Maybe I was the one who was negligent. When I built a house for someone I wonder if they were expecting me to clean the car, trim the garden, and bathe the dog before I started the job. My apologize to all those people, guess I just was raised properly.
We did get our weekly visit with the grand kids, always fun for us. Sue finished up the ghost project with them. They turned out real neat. Then we made miniature apple pies in the muffin pan. They too were a big hit as I snuck slices of apple to the kids when no one was looking, cook's prerogative.
I finished with karate as Sue did her power walk. Blacklist was playing on the TV then off to slumber land
.more later..
