0737, Mon, 102813.  Rocklin, CA.

It was a stick around home day at our place.  My genealogy pages need going over again.  It seems that the city directories and the 1940 census has been computerized.  This means new hints for people I thought were at a dead end.  The 1940 census is now the latest to go public with all the confidentiality that is required now days.  This is a never ending hobby.

Sue is going through old family movies which she has done once before but now the VHS tapes are outdated and need to be turned over to the computer hard drive for safe keeping.  It is funny to try and go back, connecting the years with the activity.

We are now three months into our dirt dwelling activities.  It seems like it has been longer than that.  A lot has happened in that short time.  We are still loving every day.  Checking the weather in Mexico it looks like Hurricane Raymond is turning out to sea without a threat to those on land.  This is a good thing for those who have been flooded out of their homes.  Last year the remnants of Hurricane Paul gave us a near miss dumped over 13 inches of rain in a twenty four hour period as we watched the land turn into a million little waterfalls and the bay change from a deep blue to mud brown….more later..
