0742, Fri, 112913.  Rocklin, CA.

We had a great day of thanks.  Sue got to see her parade on TV although the coverage seems to have gotten a lot shorter than we remembered from the past.  In fact, we used to watch several parades, I guess they aren't as in vogue as days gone by.

Later in the day we headed to the Blooms for a family gathering.  Eric was the chef de jour and what a meal we had.  A little change up from the usual turkey, he brought out small hens from the oven, done to a golden brown perfection along with a nice ham.  It went on from there, each plate having a delicious flavor that blended with the rest of the meal.  Then came dessert.  Michelle had made individual pumpkin pies and we had a visit from the Kings who brought a pumpkin butter brickle desert.  Topped with a scoop of ice cream and a dollop of whipped cream it was a great finish to a great meal.  What a day….more later..
