0759, Wed, 110613.  Rocklin, CA.

We had a Skype call arranged with Sue's sister so we could take a look at a remodel idea they are working on.  Pretty neat to be able to see their place over such a distance in real time.  We chatted a bit about the project but the funny part was, while we were on line for only a few minutes we were contacted by a friend in Puerto Vallarta and a couple more friends in the Bahamas.  It is amazing to be able to connect with people all over the world so easily.

Our friend in PV said they dodged the Tropical Storm but it has left them with lots of rain.  Our friends in Bahamas, who we haven't talked to in ages, are doing well, lots of travel, and planning for their future.  They sparked some ideas about travel.  Apparently all across Canada and Alaska there isn't any problem with simply pulling over and staying the night in your RV.  Then we got to England and talked of all the canals throughout.  I knew of the canal boats in France but never heard of the waterways in England.  They are narrower so they have boats that are narrower as well.  With a width of seven feet, their boat was fifty feet long.  That must be something to maneuver.  They simply tie up alongside the canal at night (no anchor needed) and head out the next day.  That sounds like loads of fun, and a great way to go boating….more later..
