0805, Mon, 011314.  Rocklin, CA.

The garage floor is now prepped.  I gave it an acid bath which opens the pores in the surface of the concrete so the paint will stick better.  It did a lot of foaming but doesn't look any different so I hope it works.  The other project under way, the ceiling in the master bedroom, is now void of any popcorn texture.  I thought the pressure washer would work good to get the ceiling wet since it puts out a small amount of water rather than using the garden hose.  Still not a good idea.  I ran down to the local Home Depot and picked up a one gallon garden sprayer which worked perfectly.  Most of the popcorn came off pretty good with some spots taking a second spray of water to get the stuff loose.

Sue was busy cleaning, or should I say scrubbing, showers, floors cabinets and more.  I'd say we had a very productive day going home very pooped.  When we went to start the car, the battery was dead.  I guess you just can't leave that back hatch open and expect the battery to do its job.  Michelle was quick to the rescue with a battery charger/starter and we were back in business in no time.  Thank you Michelle for your quick response saving our day…..more later..
