With the holiday we were able to spend the morning with Max. We did some running around to see what we could do in the future for our special days. We went past the Re-Create place that looked like fun. They look like an artist studio with lots of stuff for kids to make any kind of sculptures they want. We peeked in the window and could see a castle on the table, a dragon on the wall and even a tiny Wally sitting on the shelf. Looks to have plenty of potential there.
The next stop was an indoor go cart place. Although the windows were tinted real dark we could make out a couple of karts so that may be one of our future stops as well.
Then we headed over to the bowling alley and had a great time. Max did pretty well with his kid style of tossing the ball down the lane giving Sue a run for her money. I gutter-balled the first frame then hit two strikes in a row about mid game. Then we didn't realize it was the tenth frame and Sue shot my extra ball. I ended up with a 154 score, about ten points higher than my old average from when I was a kid, ha.
We headed off to Chevy's after bowling a couple of games and enjoyed a round of I Spy, then finished the day with a trip back to the apartment and a dip in the hot tub.
Michelle and Karissa joined us in the afternoon with a surprise in the mail. The two books that Sue had put together for the kids had come and were a big hit with both kids. They spent the next hour or so going through the books and reading every page while enjoying the pictures. A great day
..more later..
